It rains or is freezing at school picking up/dropping off time and I have crap circulation. Any nice trendy hats about? Last year's got shrunk.
what does the miscodtress of style suggest... apart from not wearing one at all which isn't always an option?

Ooooh jolly good. am about to start chemo so am waiting eagerly to her the codmeisters take on all things related to head coverings.....

lalaa · 06/11/2005 17:43

hear

PrincessSmartyPants · 06/11/2005 17:45

Good luck with the chemo- I know my friend did the wig thing initally but couldn't stand the itchiness. I think cotton bandanna type things are ok.
Do you think the cod advises on such mundane things as hats?

I love hats

they suit me though

agree with blunt friend - a blessing.

jane313 · 06/11/2005 19:35

Some hats suit some and not others. My friend always looks great in cloche or beanie type ones with little or no brim. They look hideous on me. She looked bad in ones with bigger brims whereas they suited me.

cardQUEENcod · 06/11/2005 20:30

too bloody cold to go without. have already cut my hair very short (about an inch and a half all over) and I'm freezing.
chemo starts 15 Nov and hair should have disappeared by end of Nov. Am going hat shopping with my sister next weekend, so any advice welcome. If you want to see a pic of me, there's an article about my case on the lump in breast thread. that might help advise on hats that might suit......i think i look absolutely terrible in hats without brims - really geeky.

My oncologist said that not everyone loses all their hair, but everyone's hair thins at the least. My surgeon said I would lose all my hair. Breakthrough Breast Cancer fact sheet on the chemo I'm having says I will lose all my hair.

And my body hair too (eyebrows, eyelashes, nosehairs, etc, etc, etc). No waxing for a bit then.....

Am planning for worst.

cardQUEENcod · 06/11/2005 20:38

lalaa · 06/11/2005 20:40

that's lovely of you Cod, thanks. Am a bit busy on the sort out my treatment trail at the mo, but when it's sorted, and if I'm not too ill with the chemo, I might take you up on that!
Don't know what a baker boy hat is - have you got a pic?

cardQUEENcod · 06/11/2005 21:20

look on the accessorizehat
am i right in thinking that on chemo you can feel quite well at the end of the cycle?

lalaa · 06/11/2005 21:47

yes, the last week is meant to be OK, I think. But it is very individual so I have to wait and see.....
thanks for the tip.
