I am size 16/18 and about 5'4'', I have dark blonde hair with a hint of red (natural colour) and I am fair-skinned. What do you think of this dress?

By the way, I'm 34, if that makes a difference.

It might do, not helpful I know. I feel as though it should work but it's a tad frou frou and I'm not entirely convinced about the tie around the middle.

If you're an hourglass it should be great, an apple - less so.

Should be good. Tie around the middle will be fine on most figures. Colours seem good for you. Not too revealing for a church service too, which is always a consideration for baptisms.

Sorry OP - disappeared last night - bed calling Smile

I think the dress is pretty but agree that it would depend on your shape. Have you tried it on ? What sort of shape are you ? FWIW I am a 14/16 but have a big tummy, so that dress would do nothing for me. I have recently bought this for a wedding and it is very flattering but it may not be right for a baptism. Phase 8 have lots of lovely dresses. this is pretty

FebreezeYourJeans · 28/04/2011 09:05

TSMUM that Verity dress is divine, how are you norkwise? I'm a 12/14 but have 34ff boobs and wouldn't usually attempt anything so high necked but I'm wondering wether the draping would flatter them.

Tillyscoutsmum · 28/04/2011 11:35

Mine are 38dd but I do find the draping flattering. I find a lot of phase 8 dresses quite generous nork wise (I manage to fit in a 14 when I need 16 in others)

cath476 · 28/04/2011 18:30

Thanks. I like the dresses but I think I want something with a fuller skirt. I am also 38dd and I have got a tummy :( There are some nice dresses in Phase 8. Any suggestions gratefully received!

If you're after full skirted, then I think the Coast one is lovely. I tried this one on as well and it was flattering.

cath476 · 28/04/2011 22:36

That one is pretty and I have a wedding 5 days later...
