I need a new bag

I desperately need a new bag for every day use. Must be leather (but not too expensive Grin!). Not too big, but big enough to get usual 'stuff' in , plus bottle of water. Also need straps which actually stay on my shoulder and fit over a coat.

And it shouldn't be too heavy.

I've tried a Radley Grosvenor but it was very small and I felt like my mum when using it. Longchamp OK, but not keen on the nylon material and the shoulder straps never stay on.

Not asking for much, am I?!

mulberry?

my friend got me a bag from america. It says giani bini in it. Its amazing. I use it all day every day. it lives on the floor. have had a it a year, and still looks good. Cost me sixty pounds, which i thought was a lot at the ti me, but considering the use ive had out of it, seems like pennies now. If i could afford one, then i would get a mulberry

'bagging' (ha ha get it? Grin Blush) my place on this thread to lurk with interest

Lipstickgal · 27/04/2011 18:24

I bought a Boden bag in mink and it is a lovely cool grey toned neutral leather. The bag is capacious and adaptaptable due to drawstring design. It stays on the shoulder and isn't too bulky.

some great stuff here and some in sale belen echidna/ enchilada or something like that

queribus · 27/04/2011 18:28

FGM some lovely stuff but a bit out of my price range. Need below £200 - preferably cheaper!

Boden is below £200! Discount code LPCB hacks another 15% off too and you can send the beggar back if you don't like it.

queribus · 27/04/2011 19:29

Lipstick - is it the slouchy buckle bag? I like the look of it, but don't know if the straps will be long enough.

Mulberry is well out of my price range.

Quite like Peony & Moore Pia (in sale) and Evelina

I've bought Peony & Moore bags, they are fab, leather great and really soft and customer service really good.

Have you seen these ones too:

I have this one here

or love this too

Easter11 gave £15 off last week too...Smile

strictlysauvignon · 27/04/2011 19:56

I have bought from them too - - leather is soft and the detail good - you get what you pay for and they arn't that expensive for the quality - they keep doing offers so worth checking and registering on their site for when they do - they email you with the next offer before anyone else.

strictlysauvignon · 29/04/2011 08:54

queribus just had an email from P&M, the Evelina is on a flash sale for £129 till monday....Grin

mermaidspurse · 29/04/2011 10:19

madammecholet thank you for that code it works with the flash sale - just bought the purple one £118 including p&pGrin Have lusted after one for ever and still feeling a bit guilty. skips off to watch wedding

madammecholet · 29/04/2011 14:27

Yeah! well done - I love a bargain!! Grin

Timbachick · 29/04/2011 14:29

Boden have a very nice slouchy leather bag at the mo??

AnnVeronica · 29/04/2011 19:05

What, does that code work for the Evelina flash sale? Don't tempt me!

madammecholet · 30/04/2011 13:59

annveronica did you try it??

AnnVeronica · 30/04/2011 19:12

No! I resisted, really can't afford to buy it atm!

queribus · 01/05/2011 18:46

And this what happens when I forget to check the thread! Sad

If the purple one had been in stock I would have bought it, but it's sold out (and I couldn't get the code to work - I got as far as checkout with the olive bag, but I really only liked the purple)

Well, I've registered with the site so maybe next time. Thanks for the tip, though.

Oh no, thats a pain... what about the tan? go with more things than the purple or olive imo?

queribus · 01/05/2011 19:17

Really not keen on the tan (a bit 'mumsy' IMHO, but I'm the least stylish person in the universe, so what do I know Wink).

It's good to have the link and signed up now. And I reckon I can start dropping hints in plenty of time for my 'special' birthday next year ...

I've also bought bags from Notonthehighstreet.com and Reddirect too....
