black leggings and sumer dresses - the way to go?

Hi all. I love the short/knee length summer dresses that are around - what do you think of them with three quarter length black leggings? My legs are reasonably ok but I have pale celtic skin and they look a bit corned beefish. Fake tan doesn't seem to suit me.

think a dress/tunic & leggins combo works when worn like this

Don;t like leggings on adults, not at all, not ever.

I am short and wear either navy or black full length leggings or just below the knee leggings under dresses and my denim skirt. I like the look and will be sticking with it!

i like them, but then i have fat legs, and in the summer they rub together and i get a rash. so leggings are a godsend for me. I do someties wear white short ones though

Got some today in H&M for just £5.99 and they are super tight, not a hint of bagginess. As am 34 w pregnat and hope of deforesting legs long gone, seems to be the only option if I want to wear dresses for a bit!
