I have never worn wedges before, as i cant walk in heels! But would love to buy some!

What do you think of these

www.duoboots.com/products/shoes/detail/width_fitting_shoes/katharina/411/colour/4-black_suede/

I think they would be comfortable to walk in, but I have my doubts on their aapearance...are they too granny-ish?

Would love your feedback!

I like them, I'd be more inclined to go for the blue ones though...

donnie · 25/04/2011 16:55

no - not nice. Sorry.

moondog · 25/04/2011 17:07

God, they are hideous.
I can just visualise a big fluid retaaining foot squeezing out of them with toes poking out the ned.Don't go there.

Gillybobs · 25/04/2011 17:14

Have to agree they are very old fashioned, I can see my mum age 61 wearing them. Sorry : (

I like comfy shoes and always buy CLarks wedges every single year, this year I am coveting these

vjg13 · 25/04/2011 17:17

At first look I didn't like them but they do look much better in the video. Go for it if you like them. Smile

Niecie · 25/04/2011 17:20

No not granny-ish at all and they are alright but I don't personally like bows on things so I wouldn't have them.

Love the colour of the purple ones though. Blue ones are nice but I would never wear black sandles.

ggirl · 25/04/2011 17:27

bow ruins them
I saw someone trying these clarks ones and they looked v nice on.

notyummy · 25/04/2011 17:28

Not good.

BornAgainDomesticGoddess · 25/04/2011 17:31

I can see my mum age 61 wearing them.

Well, my mum's 73 and she wouldn't be seen dead in a pair of shoes like that.

Sorry love, but they are really not very nice. Wedges are a lot easier to walk in than heels. Maybe you should go an try some on, see how you go? I think these are a bit nicer.

headfairy · 25/04/2011 17:34

Oh dear, I'm obviously out of step with all things fashionable on the shoe front. But then I have huge feet and live in trainers

polyhymnia · 25/04/2011 18:23

I have the Hobbs Jena mini-wedge slingback which are quite stylish and are comfortable:

blinks · 25/04/2011 18:36

they'd offset a beige a-line skirt and varicose veins beautifully

polyhymnia · 25/04/2011 18:47

The Hobbs ones??

moondog · 26/04/2011 07:28

Slingbacks scream fat boozy middle ageds womean with crepey burnt decolletage.
(sorry)

FlamingJamie · 26/04/2011 08:28

I tried these Clarks ones on and they are really nice and fairly comfy from what I could tell.

FlamingJamie · 26/04/2011 08:29

moondog - what I picture you paint

FlamingJamie · 26/04/2011 08:30

der - what a picture you paint

Damn Clarks for having so many nice shoes at the moment ... Angry

kerstina · 26/04/2011 10:04

Well I am going against the grain here but I think they are quite pretty love organza ! Would not pay that price though.

polyhymnia · 26/04/2011 10:19

All for comfort as well as style, but think there must be something wrong either with me or my local Clarks. Often see their shoes praised on here but when I actually go can see nothing at all appealing and a lot that's downright dowdy. Perhaps a visit to a large central London branch is called for.

Gillybobs · 26/04/2011 12:07

Poly, think you've hit the nail on the head, my local Clarks is full of dowdy offerings but the bigger stores are full of gorgeous, wearable and COMFY shoes. Fantastic : )

polyhymnia · 26/04/2011 12:10

That's the answer, then. Have to say, though it's in a v. affluent suburb, my local M and S is just the same - like a depressing market stall, so always have to go to one of the central London ones, or online, to find OK things, or a full range of Autograph.

notyummy · 26/04/2011 12:32

Yes - you do have to look in the bigger Clarks. The one in my home town has v little, however I was on Victoria St in London recently (unfortunately on my way to a meeting with no time to shop...) whan I passed a massive Clarks with loads of enticing looking stuff in the windows.
