Have weird bright red moles. Want them removed. Also some thread veins. Can I get 'em all done at once? Anybody know? Thanks.

Campbell De Morgan Spots. Can be removed by laser, apparently.

I have them as well and was told by my GP they were age related Sad Most of them are in places where the sun has never shone!

RightUpMyRue · 25/04/2011 17:13

Unfortunately, there are age related Rassy, and I have far too many of them considering how incredibly young and glamorous I am.

pointydog · 25/04/2011 17:29

I have had some campbell de morgans all my life. As a result, I am quite fond of them.

Dd1 had some when she was born but they disappeared within a couple of months.

bigTillyMint · 25/04/2011 18:23

I have one on my left thigh, and DD has just developed one. But she's only 11!

minieggfannomore · 25/04/2011 20:08

I have had one on my left breast since I was about 16.

Have noticed more since I became old crone more mature though.

Has anyone had one removed? Does it leave a scar?

I had a prominent, but small lumpy one removed, not any little tiny ones, this grew in a couple of years, went to the Dr to get it checked, was sent to get loads of moles checked at the hospital and was told they were all okay. I went back to the gp and asked to get the lumpy one removed, referred to hospital and they did it under local anaesthetic - it was painless but unpleasant! So many people in the room assisting/observing too.

I have a slight scar, but I don't feel self conscious about that - the lumpy red mole was pretty horrible and I struggled to hide it, my kids were fascinated and repulsed by it.

TapselteerieO · 25/04/2011 20:27

They did a biopsy(?) on that mole just to make sure it was okay too.

pointydog · 25/04/2011 22:42

I wouldn't get a normal little red freckle removed. They look lovely.

ThatVikRinA22 · 25/04/2011 22:49

ive got them....and i keep finding new ones all the time!

gp also said they were age related.....when i went to him in my 20's!

Stuffedcat · 26/04/2011 10:21

How fascinating, I have lots of these (have done since my 20's) never knew what they were, I did once pick one with a pin on my finger (bled a bit wouldn't recommend that but it did go!) They are mainly on my trunk... and no I'm not an elephant. Smile

minieggfannomore · 26/04/2011 10:45

I don't like them. Don't mind other little brown freckles I have but the red ones are freaky and weird imo.

I think they look like red felt tip marks!
