Nice looking clothes for boys

I have two boys.
Here in uk the clothes for boys are generally uglier than the ones for girls. When i go back home to italy i find nice clothes with lots of colours (red, orange, lime, fucsia,yellow) alsl for boys, but here only blue, brown, beige. Total depression....my grandfather wouldnt wear some clothes i see in mothercare!!!!!

Now, can u recommend nice places were i can buy good clothes for my 3 and 1- year-old boys?

Also, were do u buy smart clothers? Some are too casual..we are going to two weddings in august and i would like to find nice shirts or sweaters.

It's so depressing! I'm so fed up with blue and sludge colours!
And if I had a girl, I know I'd be going balmy with pink-overload.

H&M are good for cheap stuff, they have nice colours. I've found some great cheap colourful clothes in Peacocks too although it can be a bit hit and miss.

If money is no object, Monsoon does some lovely stuff (although they seem to do more girls than boys stuff) and the very mumsnetty Boden do some nice kids stuff too. John Lewis is worth a look too, they often have some great bright stuff among the blue. Any of these will probably be good for smart stuff - or Next is a bit cheaper (but full of blue 7 sludge).

Mothercare is rubbish in general IMO. Their customer service is awful, their prices aren't great and their stock is very middle-of-the-road.

I cant say I have ever had a problem finding brightly coloured clothes for DS (17 months) I have recently got him some fantastic brightly coloured t shirts from Next, a lot of his other clothes are Mothercare, H and M and George.

I have two boys and they are always dressed in lovely brightly coloured clothes - DS2 had a pair of orange dungarees (Mothercare) on today and looked gorgeous .

My favourite shop has got to be M&S though - they do some gorgeous stuff for boys, although it's not cheap .

DS has those Orange dunagrees to! He had a pair last year aswell - I love them, he has the matching hat to!!

I love M and S clothes when I think to go in. I got DS a fantastic christmas jumper and jeans for his christmas outfit last year!

DS2 is so tiny for his age and looks super super cute in dungarees - he has the bright blue ones too .

Never think of Debenhams, will have to check it out. Agree with Sainsburys - I bought a pack of 3 t-shirts in there last month, beautiful bright colours (orange, yellow and green if I remember correctly) with bright pics of animals on. Gorgeous .

I got the hat last year and it still fits, not sure if they have it this year!

DS is tiny to (17 months and still in 9-12 clothes) I love dunagrees for him, especially as it means we dont have the trousers falling down issue!

We're in the same boat sirzy - DS2 is 19 mths and still in 9-12 mth clothes! Titchy but super cute .

absolutely hate M&S, can't find a thing I'd put my one year old in and detest Next. DS2 wears lots of lovely bright colours and has never ever worn anything brown, khaki or with a picture of a monkey / lion / cartoon character all of which are my pet hates.
