Nice toddler bedding

Hi

OK, not after clothing advice (this time!) but after another favour of you stylish ladies ...

We are considering taking the sides off ds (2) cotbed. So I need to go and get him some lovely bedding as he has been in sleeping bags and can now have quilts, etc.

Where should I be looking? Don't want hugely expensive but have looked at the White Company, Laura Ashley and John Lewis. Are there any I have missed? Is there anything I need to know beforehand? What styles should I go for for a toddler?

Many thanks for any advice

GLTC & Wallace sacks too.
Personally I'd go for White Company as the quality is excellent (if you like the designs). Ours still looks like new after years of washing.

We also bought a "four seasons" quilt as it's 2 quilts (9 tog and a 4 tog) which can be joined together or used separately. They are regularly switched depending on the weather.

Aspace always has lovely lovely quilts. Here. www.aspace.co.uk/bedding/quilts

Their furniture and bedding generally is lovely. Have bought several things over the years.

White Company and Cath Kidston.

I've had white company for the kids and it has been fad, but pricey. Kids have also had covers from Ikea which have been washed to death and still look great! Very good price....could be an option while the more fancy/expensive stuff is in the wash!

JojoMamanBebe have some gorgeous bedding too

moragbellingham · 22/04/2011 07:37

That's good to know as I've just bought an Ikea one for the same reason. Can't stretch to WC prices for spares!

RainySmallHands · 22/04/2011 07:45

Ikea is great and immensely cheap (£10 per set). No togged quilts though.

mandoo · 22/04/2011 07:52

TK Maxx or Home sense often have nice toddler bedding. I have brought a couple of sets for DS, one with little rockets sewn on which he loves. It is pot luck in these places though.

Rosebud05 · 22/04/2011 07:55

I was just going to say IKEA, one of the few places you can get gender neutral stuff.

ensure · 22/04/2011 07:57

Yes we went with ikea too as it is pure cotton, for DD's eczema.

mandoo · 22/04/2011 07:57

I find that the trouble with IKEA is that you have to buy their duvet too as the cover sizes only fit their duvets. Lovely choices though

pocoyo123 · 22/04/2011 08:57

Thanks all. Not near an ikea unfortunately but will have a look at the places recommended.

How many sets do you think I will need? He's in nappies still at the mo so I was hoping 2 to start with ...

Desigers Guild....bit expensive but oooh

beanandspud · 22/04/2011 09:09

DS has some lovely bedding from jojomamanbaby. We seem to manage with 2 sets - one on the bed and one in the wash.
