Minis and the Over Forties

I'm 42, a size 10 with long legs and I like mini skirts. Not knicker skimmers, but short-ish. I wear minis with flat sandals and I'm covered up everywhere else ie no plunge tops. Thing is, do you think there is an age limit with mini skirts?

If your legs look good then for gods sake get them out while you can!

Minis arent to do with age surely......nice legs, if you've got it flaunt it. Unfortunately my legs are rank (well from the knee up) but go for it girl!!

I agree it isn't age more the shape and general state of your legs! Esp fine with flats harder to 'do' with heels I find as I get older Am 45 and still wear shortish if I have a bit of a fake tan

isnt she a case of nice legs shame about the face Grin

If you've got good legs and you're wearing them with flats and not doing yourself up in muttonous fashion, I say get 'em out!

Frizzbonce · 21/04/2011 16:07

I think the problem with Liz is she still tries to look 28 overall - with the tumbling hair and tight clothes. But then again, why should women over 40 live in fear of the Mutton-o-meter and dress in calf length beige?

Maybe it's about revealing your best feature, nice ankles, legs, neck or whatever and discreetly covering up the less flattering bits. But I'd never wear a miniskirt and high heels. For one thing, I walk like a tranny in heels.
