Dress me for a wedding.

Need a whole outfit for an early June wedding. Would like to wear a dress, and will need shoes as well. Have no idea what will suit me as haven't had the need to dress up for about five years.

I'm 33, but look younger.
5'1", size 6/8
32C but no cleavage (boobs not as pert as pre-DC)
Brunette with brown eyes, should have a light tan by then.
Pretty good legs for a short-arse.

Out today, look forwards to seeing suggestions later :)

Forgot to say, I would hopefully spend under £100 on the dress.

Try Whistles: they have a beautiful pink lace dress and a lovely white (as long as the bride doesn't mind) broderie anglaise dress. Reiss have some lovely things in too at mo': and some are on offer...I am just dreaming as am 4 months pg so can't get into my usual favs: but my figure is (was) similar to yours and their stuff fits me well. Also quite unusual stuff so won't look like all the other guests..Good luck!
PS ASOS also has great stuff online and the returns are really easy

Thanks Rebel, never bought anything from Whistles or Reiss - will have a look! (I'm sure you'll get your figure back, by the way ;))

Tethers, you've done some research there! I like both the Warehouse dresses, and the purple print one. Not sure if the yellow is too, erm, yellow?

That Kaliko dress is beautiful. I am 99% certain that's the colour the bridesmaids will be wearing, do you think that matters?

And what colour shoes does one wear with a red dress? Never worn red in my life, so have no idea!

They sound lovely but not sure I can face TK Maxx, not showing online and not one nearby and when I do go i NEVER EVER get anything (despite lots of people I know being successful there).

Think purple is very last year, virtually nothing in next, schuh, m and s etc.

I'm in the same sitch...have a wedding in early JUne and will be taking my 2 month old...it will be the first time I'll be finding an outfit to get my boobs out of easily rather than keeping them in! Unfortunately I dont have quite as good a figure as you!!! xx

kickingking · 21/04/2011 21:34

Good luck, I have to say I would have found a breastfeeding wedding outfit rather challenging!

Hobbs have some great things, and normally do pretty good sales so you could always try now and then hold fire until the prices drop? Their website is funny to link to, but how about the NW3 range : Folly dress, Mosaic dress, Goodison shift, tea dress (I'm in love with the jade one). Also in the main range, I think the Therese dress is lovely. Some are under budget, some are over, but I've got a skirt reduced from £89 (!) to £29 before, so worth keeping an eye out!

Shoe wise do you want heels or flats?

kickingking · 21/04/2011 21:41

Heels with a posh dress, I think.
