Online shopping for kids clothes - I want George prices but Boden look!

Can anyone recommend any good places to buy kids clothes online for a 9 year old and a 7 year old girl? My budget is very limited. They are both quite girly but like funky colourful clothes. I have trawled Tescos and Asda and Sainsburys and although I like some of their stuff they don't always have the sizes, and a lot of it especially for the older DD is very tarty - and horrible fabrics and colours. I love Boden but it's too £££. Ditto Vertbaudet - 20 quid for a little cotton cardigan is just too much. E-bay takes too long. I just want some nice t-shirts, cardigans, shoes etc for summer. Please help! Thanks.

I'm guessing my 7yr old isn't and I'm almost certain that my 6 and 3yr old aren't. Grin

There was a phone in on LBC about holes in clothes and it was suggested that it's related to chemicals in cleaning products, particularly as people were noticing them appearing in the same place consistently ie where children lean against surfaces, tables etc.

I like Sainsbury's clothing, although I haven't seen this year's, it used to be very nice.

Oh Febreeze! That would completely explain the holes in my clothes! I was blaming it on my cat, sleeping on the washing, but my children never get holey clothes - and yet the tummy area of all my old tops falls to holes... and at 5'1, that's where I touch the surface with my body!

It rang true with me too Colditz

Another vote for H&M here.

Very cool clothes and never tarty in the way that some little girls clothes can be. Have never had a problem with their quality or warmth, DS spent all Winter in H&M jumpers and jeans.

I used to like Boots clothing for my two. Sadly they are too old for their range now.

That site is still expensive MUMOFTOTS!

Get thee to H&M!

Debenhams sometimes have some nice stuff, I bought DD a couple of tops there which were definitely copied from inspired by the Boden Hotchpotch look.

Land's End kids is also nice, and they drop the prices right down in the sales. You can also get good discount codes (eg £10 off a £40 shop) and they work even on sale prices.

Next does have some nice things, but everyone around here is Next clones so I try to avoid the more obviously branded stuff.

Gap has some nice leggings and top combos, and if you can get to an Outlet they are really cheap.

H&M, Ebay, Zara, and i've also seen landsend have started kids clothes, much cheaper than Boden and just as nice.

landsend here

H&M with out a dobt, fantastic value and mostly not too tarty in the older girls ranges.
I always put the holes in clothes down to the seatbelt on the car rubbing tshirts against jeans/skirts/trouser buttons (as I get them myself and now pull my top up when I put the seat belt on, not had the holes since).
