Padded cup maxi dress and big boobs?

I want some nice strappy maxi dresses for my honeymoon.

Has anyone with a larger bust (I am 34D/DD) tried wearing one with the padded cups? I really like the idea of not having to wear a bra or bikini top, but can't imagine how the pads manage to keep wobbling under control?

Do I just have to face facts and steer clear of the strappy ones?

can't you wear normal strappy maxi dresses btw with a nude bra..? or get a bra that you can change the straps to clear ones..?

Something like this www.asos.com/Asos/Asos-Jersey-Grecian-Maxi-Beach-Dress-With-Padded-Cups/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=1230717&utm_source=google_product_search&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=google_product_search&WT.tsrc=Google%20Product%20Search

Dont think you could get away with a bra - perhaps a nice alternative colour bikini top, but I really like the way it looks with nothing.

I probably have to accept I can't get away with such clothes though and go for thicker straps! I just saw someone wearing one and was a bit Envy of them...

oh see what you mean...

Now.......... imo.............. that dress looks fab on the model BUT (again imo) would only suit someone with perky breasts either of a small size or enhanced iykiwm Wink.

Im a 36c and aunatural and tbh my boobs would look like a sack of spuds on that dress.. ... you could wear and bra as they do them where the middle bit is clear iykiwm.. it is possible BUT I guess you need to think that on holidays its nice to sometimes be free Blush and not restricted by some bra holding you in...

LittlePickleHead · 18/04/2011 12:52

Yes, good to be free, that's what I thought!

I have all these lofty notions of what I will look like on holiday wafting around in lovely airy clothes, usually left very disappointed by the reality of sweaty bra straps and wibbly bits Angry Grin

could you get away with the strapless ones..? I have just got x2 from the next geri swimwear range.
Lovely fit and you could wear them with a strapless bra..? or even with bikini/halterneck..?

KeepCalmAndCurryOn · 18/04/2011 16:35

How about a halter neck? No bra but a good hoick in lieu?

LittlePickleHead · 18/04/2011 17:05

I have a strapless and it is nice, I like the ones with the straps from the centre. I guess I was just hoping for an alternative, but I can stick with strapless if need be.

Halter necks I find really painful, to get enough support I find I have to do them so tightly they hurt my neck!

see as I typed about strapless I recalled a thread I was on recently about halterneck dresses and big norks... I classed myself at a 36c big norked but was advised in no uncertain way that its not! Advised me that they are un comfortable...

Personally I love them. V flattering indeed.Smile.

Get yourself one of the new strapless wonderbras. I'm a 32D and in that bad boy they don't budge. I don't remember what it's called, but they market it as being like holding your boobs in your hands or somesuch Confused

BooBooGlass · 18/04/2011 19:15

here
Worth trying to get to a branch to try it on though before buying online, I ended up with a 30D and it fits like a dream
