So, am going to London tomorrow and have been saving up!

Should I -

blow it all on one thing in Anglomania

or

buy a few really useful items somewhere else - possibly:

this dress

And a Breton from Hobbs - black and white but with one red stripe

and something else...

Zara no good at all for people who are vertically challenged...

ChateauRouge · 18/04/2011 22:41

Uniqlo (again regent st) often have nice plain basics- would find something to go with your skinny combats Im sure.

ColonelBrandonsBiggestGroupie · 18/04/2011 22:42

Lol at Chateau Rouge - I hate shoes and can rarely get excited by bags, I must admit. Do love 50s style silk skirts though.

ColonelBrandonsBiggestGroupie · 18/04/2011 23:11

Thanks - will stick my head in the Marylebone one!

Be warned - very addictive! Hope you enjoy though and have a great day! Let us know what you got.

ColonelBrandonsBiggestGroupie · 18/04/2011 23:20

Thank you. The main aim is to get dd1 a prom dress though, so I may end up with nothing for myself. Wish me luck!

Prom dress? TKMaxx, surely?

I got [http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_r0-r_45IkC0/S9XCg9-I_6I/AAAAAAAAFeo/_75_HyLn14U/s1600/turquoise+maxi+dress+clearence+sale.jpg [this last week]]- looks amazing! (colour is perfect for me)

Were you in Debenahms on saturday??? I heard a lady with v similar voice, but I couldn't work out where she was Blush

ColonelBrandonsBiggestGroupie · 19/04/2011 20:19

Nope - I wasn't in Debenhams on Saturday! :)

Managed to get a lovely prom dress in Kingly Court on Carnaby Street (huge thanks to Tethers for the rec).

All I bought for me was a bracelet, after all that!

Glad you braved a maxi - I ended up living in mine last summer, after swearing I'd never wear one again after my Goth days. Fab dress and yes, the colour is perfect for you.

Blow it all on one gorgeous thing you will get plenty of wear/use from and treasure forever! ENJOY!

ChateauRouge · 19/04/2011 20:31

You see- she freaked me out because she said your DD1's name! Shock

A bracelet sounds lovely!

Oh- the shame! Blush I messed up my link last night...
here

ColonelBrandonsBiggestGroupie · 19/04/2011 20:32

Awww thanks Emo - but I'm back without anything!

ColonelBrandonsBiggestGroupie · 19/04/2011 20:33

It's lovely, Chateau - can just picture you in it. Did you have to get it taken up?

OP posts:
ChateauRouge · 19/04/2011 20:49

I think I may have to actually... I did buy some vertiginous wedges too, but I haven't had chance to try them together yet Smile

I think I shall shorten the straps a little and that may do it actually.

ColonelBrandonsBiggestGroupie · 19/04/2011 20:54

Heels? Am impressed! My feet hurt even in flats! Oh how I hate shoes...

OP posts:
ChateauRouge · 19/04/2011 20:59

They were these from Gap (not on UK site for some reason)- they're really comfortable actually!

Do you hate your feet, hence hating shoes? My feet are my nicest feature actually... Hmm

Well, apart from norks, but...

ColonelBrandonsBiggestGroupie · 19/04/2011 21:28

I have no particular objection to my feet - hate my norks though!

You are actually going to be TALL in those shoes. :)

OP posts:
ChateauRouge · 19/04/2011 21:34

Nah... I might actually be as tall as you in them! Shock

Wink
ColonelBrandonsBiggestGroupie · 19/04/2011 22:43

Ooh yes because I must be all of an inch taller than you! :)
