no help at all, but watching with interest as I have a similar dilemma. Smile

First thing I would suggest is that you have a good sort through your wardrobe. Be totally honest with yourself about what you do and don't wear.

Anything totally knackered which you have worn to death needs to be put in the recycling bag and replacement added to your shopping list.

Anything still in good nick but which you don't wear can go in the charity shop bag.

If it needs mending/altering/buttons replacing etc, put that on a separate pile and get busy with it asap (otherwise it becomes a "will do that when I get a chance" job and you won't get the chance).

I am an SAHM and my wardrobe for summer is:

  • straight leg dark denim jeans
  • coloured straightlegs/skinny fit trousers/jeans (try La Redoute for bargains which fit well and wash well without fade)
  • cropped trousers (but think Audrey-eque ankle skimmers rather than mid-calf)
  • Cardigans (nice bright colours plus navy and neutral)
  • Dresses: plain tunic style to be dressed up or down, with or without leggings
  • tees - particularly breton striped tops this year :)
  • knee length casual skirts - either plain or patterned
  • Converse
  • decent pair all leather sandals
  • maxi dress. As you aren't into florals and frills, a plain jersey one would be a good option if you fancy giving them a go.

Get thee to M&S and buy a proper fitting bra and some good knickers.

That gives you the silhouette to work with.

linen trousers
Stripy tshirts
Lightweight sweater
comfy canvas shoes
Skirts to mix n match with trousers
Short dresses
cardigan

Thank you......have the jeans and converse already, plus some cardis from winter.

Guess what i really need is tops! Will look for a 'breton' too.

Not sure about dresses, never really been my thing Hmm

Any links to some must have tops??

I got this recently. Pretty without being flowery and forgiving on the mum tum. I'm wearing it today with my black Gap straightleg jeans and some bronze gladiators from two summers ago that I couldn't wear last summer as was pg and had fat feet.
