Jeans for hourglass

Where can I buy dark blue jeans, preferably flare or at least bootleg, in size 16/18?
I've tried Gap curvy and Per Una Roma, both still way too big on the waist (big gape at the back and Gap ones cut too low as well).

Off to Bluewater tomorrow if that helps.

Levis curve id are good for gaping backs.

I have Levi 640 (I think). I am a 14/16 hourglass. They are high rise, bootleg. Not cheap but worth every penny!

WhatsWrongWithYou · 17/04/2011 22:46

I got skinny flares from French Connection last summer. They're very soft and clungy on the thighs, but not too low at the waist. Size 12, but hourglass shape.

Another vote for Levis Curve ID. I have 3 pairs, they are great!

dexter73 · 18/04/2011 12:04

They are fab aren't they paddington! I went to Levis on Regent Street and they measured me up, brought me all different styles and colours and were so friendly and helpful. I ended up buying the straight leg in demi-curve and they fit like a glove. No belt needed either!

woopsidaisy · 18/04/2011 12:43

I just bought a pair of these from Mint Velvet.
First purchases from there and very impressed.
They don't have pockets on the hips-yippee! Super flattering, and hold in muffin top so well.
Also bought this top, and a couple of long/short sleeve tees. Lovely and long too,as I am 5'8'' and find tops too short always.
Very happy.

John Rocha are pretty good IME

mumtoted · 19/04/2011 21:52

I've got some John Rocha and they are too big round the waist. Had a quick look at Levi in John Lewis yesterday and couldn't see any larger sizes or any dark bootleg/flare. Found the Levi website a bit rubbish too.

mumtoted,I wouldn't have thought that the Levi jeans would have fitted me either. And they did. They are very helpful in the stores. Ask them to help you.
I have had lots of compliments in my new mint Velvet ones. So happy!

BHS dreamjeans are good for hourglass only £30 ish

paddingtonbear1 · 20/04/2011 13:40

meant to add, I got my Levis from the Next Directory.

mumtoted · 20/04/2011 23:09

Thanks Paddington, will look there.

Thanks finally, I tried some on today, no good but worth a try :)

That was quick! Next do slight curve and demi curve only. Levi also come in bold curve and supreme curve, think I need supreme. Off to google again :o

mumtoted, I thought I needed bold curve, but I ended up with slight curve!! And I am size 12/14. So you never know!

JackieNo · 21/04/2011 19:55

I find Monsoon jeans can be good for curves.

toomuchmonthatendofthemoney · 21/04/2011 20:03

watching thread with interest as am size 12 with neat waist but, um, childbearing hips, so def need something that suits. Have long pubic bone so big distance between hips and crotch, find many cheaper jeans are vv uncomfortable!

ColonelBrandonsBiggestGroupie · 21/04/2011 20:08

I'm a short-waisted size 12 short-arse hourglass and find Oasis jeans pretty good.

dexter73 · 21/04/2011 20:32

I was measured as a bold curve in the Levis but the demi curve fitted me better.

DoubleDegreeStudent · 21/04/2011 21:59

I found the levi ones totally useless for me - have just bought a pair of French Dressing Jeans. Not sure where is close for you to buy them from, but you can get them online here

I have the Olivia straight leg, my mum lives in Olivia bootleg. They are expensive but so unbelievably comfy and lasting really well (so far...)
