Thoughts on denim shorts please ladies of S & B.....

What do we all think to denim shorts for summer? I'm hankering after a pair, kind of mid-thigh length with a turn up thus avoiding the Daisy Duke look. Thinking of wearing with shirts, slouchy tees and flat sandals for summer. Would they be ok or still muttonous? (I'm 32, size 10, 5'8", good legs ) Oh, and if ok has anyone seen any good pairs?

I love denim shorts, I have just got some highwaisted ones from Next, quite short but good strong denim. I will be wearing with brown flat glads or tan clogs.

32 is young enough to wear anything provides it fits and flatters!

I think you risk Daisy Dukiness with short cut offs, but otherwise I love 'em. I have these from Anthropologie which are just lovely. Quite a generous fit so you may need to size down.

I'm 2 years older than you and I'll be wearing my denim shorts this year, and they are SHORT. Gotta do it while you can one day we will be to old for them!.

Mango has quite a few but am loving those Antropologie ones - are they soft or proper stiff denim?.

I didn't like the Next ones which is odd as I have the jeans.

Oooooh Oooooh tempting, but £££ for shorts. I never have found a very flattering pair yet.
