One of my work colleagues has invited me to her wedding, as this will be the first Hindu wedding I've attended does anyone know what is an appropriate thing to wear & are there any definite no-nos? Thanks

think bright and glitzy

at my friends wedding most of the non-hindu's wore what they would normally wear and took shawls for the temple, but one of them wore a sari.

what you would to any other wedding.

Anything really. Brighter the better if you want to blend in, but by no means necessary.

You'll always be out-glammed by something gorgeous - you're standard wedding fayre will look quite staid in comparison.
Just think of something that you wouldn't wear to any other wedding for fear of looking too OTT.
Definitely bright colours and if you really want to find out what's in - look through something like"Asian Bride" in a newsagents for this years colours etc.
