its VILE

BikeRunSki · 14/04/2011 18:36

My granny had a skirt exactly liek that in about 1975, and it was horrid then.

YourCallIsImportant · 14/04/2011 18:39

It's the emperor's new clothes syndrome again. Just because the magazines say it's gorgeous and amazing, doesn't mean we have to believe it. It's hideous, like something my granny would have worn and the fact it's £110 is a joke.

I tried it on and it was okay but completely see through! I think that brands like Whistles pick a few things to really push each season like this skirt and it ends up in every magazine so it must be the thing to have. I think I've read umpteen times in the past week or so that three staffers from Grazia have bought it - PR machine in full swing methinks.

Kittya I agree, they have regular sales, no point in buying anything at full price IMO. I just bought a pair of trousers in the sale reduced from £110 to £40.

kittya · 15/04/2011 09:58

I bet the workers at Grazia get good discounts!

I bought www.urbanoutfitters.co.uk/pins-+amp-needles-long-pleated-skirt/invt/5120428389977/this in pink last night. To wear with plain tee or slouchy black cashmere lurex-striped sweater and boots. We'll see.

LTEC · 15/04/2011 10:07

this I mean

mumonahottinroof · 15/04/2011 10:08

It's foul

Has been in the window of my local branch for weeks and it makes me dry heave every time I walk past (well, I exaggerate a little ...)

ColonelBrandonsBiggestGroupie · 15/04/2011 10:42

That grey one is nice, LTEC.

I think the problem with the Whistles one is that the colour is vile too - it's an 'old lady at M&S' colour so combined with the length and pleats looks v frumpy. In black or grey on sombody v tall and slender and funked up with silver jewellery and heels it could look good.

ClancyCrew · 15/04/2011 10:50

GOPPERAMA

kittya · 15/04/2011 19:18

If everbody has it why would you want it anyway? It looks frayed round the edges as well
