Would you ever buy 2-3 dresses same style, different colour?

I wouldn't. I do wonder if the reviews onthe Boden (!!!!) site are always genuine- and not posted by Boden staff.

often, people say they have bought a dress in 3 colours. Apart from the fact that this costs £££s, I would feel rather silly wearing the same dress on different days in different colours. A T shirt yes, a cardi, just possibly- but drsses?

I do - with dresses, and anything else that I like. I have duplicates of dresses, shoes, and tops in different colours.

I do with lots of things- shoes, tops, frocks, trousers... I find it so rare when something looks really good on me!

Yes. I found a dress I loved and bought it in three different versions. Waaaaaay more expensive than the £90 op is talking about. But they will lat years so worth it to me. I have worn one to a wedding and one to winmbledon. I have one with me on holiday and will wear one for a christening next month. One is a simple plain silk and I wear it all the time.

If they suit, fit and are well made it can be a good option.

Yes! Not so much dresses because I don't wear them too much. But I have the same pair of trousers in 10 different colors. And same top in 10 different colors and same cardigan in 4 different colors.

QueeferSutherland · 14/04/2011 06:34

Wow, Sofia, I can't think of a style of trouser that would come in 10 different colours! Where from, may I ask What colours?

I have to hold my hand up and say I have four dresses of the same style from Boden.Blush
It was in the sale, and two are black, but in different sizes, so I wear the baggier one for work and the fitted one for play.
I would have got more colours if they were available in my size. It really is flattering, and BFable in.

I buy duplicates of tons of things. I have 30FF boobs, no waist and am only 5'4", so if something works for my shape, I'll buy it in every colour that flatters me.

Issa and DVF have made a business out of doing the same dresses in every season, though in different colours and prints, and I find their dresses worth every penny.

Same with Topshop Baxter jeans, thankfully a somewhat cheaper buy.

Yes, I buy the same style of dress in Phase Eight for work all the time. The same 2 styles, actually. They really suit me, and I know hat I have to have them shortened by 4 inches without even trying them on in the little alterations shop I use! Also means that I can buy off tinternet and take advantage of the discount codes without thinking that I should order in more than one size as I know which size fits! Incidentally, I am an 8 in one of the styles and a 10 in the other.

Sorry Queefer, but theyare from an American store called Limited Express and I don't think they are available in the uk. I have black, charcoal, grey, dark green, tan, dark tan, brown, dark brown, black pin stripe and red. They are polyester (but not your old fashioned yucky polyester) and look like cotton/linen and are machine washable, drip dry with no ironing needed and I get compliments on them all the time!
