What do we think of these ... before I order ... please!

I'm just going to order a selection of things to try on and see if I can pull together some sort of co-ordinated wardrobe options for spring/summer.

Before I buy, what do we think of these please

kew cardigan - not sure yet which colour

kew crops

jigsaw skinny cargoes

Have also already ordered Uniglo and Fat Face cargoes to try and hopefully out of the three will find a pair that are a good fit!

Ordered from FF too ... chinos but think I'll also order these from Next which were linked to on another thread so as I can try to get one of the two.

Also, can anyone advice what colour cardigan would look nice with this in navy - I've ordered a cream cardigan from Fat Face to try but am not sure. Any other suggestions please?

Finally, I really need footwear! Would these or similar look well with any of the trousers linked to above?

Phew. Would really welcome opinions - and alternatives if these things are beyond dreadful!

I like it all mostly. Have a lovely top from Kew which is similar to the cardi in navy stripe.
I don't like the Jigsaw trousers. Don't even think they look nice on the model and are prob pricey too. Prefer the look of Fat face or Uniqlo ones.

have not looked at your shoes yet. I'm looking at shoes after lunch so will look later.

I went down this track a few weeks ago, and bought quite a few similar things to those you are looking at. I now have a wardrobe full of plain things that go together but I feel they all look a bit boring, so I'd say these are lovely ( though you will find nice cargos for less that Jigsaw prices ) but make sure you save a few pounds for something bright and pretty too. I do like those Next shoes - let us know if hey are comfortable too.

Chinos...a maybe. You'll have to see how they come up. Gap very badly cut ime.

why would you need a cardi with that top? A nice blazer might look cool.

The others are also similar to somethings I have and tend to wear them more downtime, so pumps or flip flops.

You seem to have more bottoms than tops... I hate buying tops

I really like the ink kew cardi, the crops look a little 'safe' and could easily look frumpy depending on how they styled.

The Next shoes look cheap imo but the khaki tapered trousers look very nice.

I like that White Company top in cream too. Wonder if you've got the same cardi as me from fat face..IS it called Barli? It's nice.

I don't like the Next shoes at all sorry. But, I'd imagine they'd look good on some people. I'm not the right person to advise on shoes as I wear boring flats most of the time.

Okay, I'm going to hold off on the Jigsaw cargoes until I see whether the Uniglo or Fat Face alternatives are suitable (I couldn't quite bring myself to press the 'buy' button as it came to £93 with postage ).

That's just what I needed to hear re the Next sandals! I too was worried they look a bit cheap, I just don't know where/what style to look for. Karbea - those Geiger sandals are waaaaay to high and not really my style. I'm like you, WowOoo in that I usually wear flats but I just fancy some sort of a heel for the summer - unfortunately my feet aren't cut out for gladiators or the like!

So, let's see. Dumping the Jigsaw cargoes & Next sandals. Have quite a few tops (got this and a couple of t-shirts from Boden a few weeks back, also a green/white breton-type top with the Hobbs voucher which came with Red magazine and will order one or two of these from Zara. I'd ordered the 3/4 sleeved jersey blazer from Boden but it's going back - I do need a jacket but this just wasn't good on me! I like the idea of it though!!

WooOoo - yes, that's the Fat Face cardigan I ordered, the barli? Glad to hear it's nice.

Higgle - understand completely where you're coming from. If I can get a few basics, then I'll top up when I next get to proper shops!!
