Not keen on Birkenstock or FitFlop, love wedges...but need to be able to walk a fair distance in my summer shoes - what can I wear??

Any help would be fab please ladies.
I have the old flat flipflops - but they kill my feet if I wear them too far. I'm not keen on Birkies - I just don't think they look very nice! FitFlops - I cannot get my head around them, they are overpriced and I don't really like the fat soles.
I love wedges, but am crap in high shoes, I also need to be able to walk lots in my summer shoes.
What on earth do I wear?
Please help me!

Timberland have some nice comgy looking sandals with heels on their site - and much to my surprise they cost no more than some Clarks (which are a bit pricey this season)here they are

Maybe I'll just hope for bad weather and stick to my trusty boots!

boysjustboys I just opened your link, the KG ones look lovely - but can you actually walk anywhere in them?

Oh well I love my DMs but think the Fly ones are just too old looking for me personally. Each to their own.
