Converse - are women's sizes the same as ten years ago

I ask because I just can't seem to physically get to a store to try them on. I have a pair I've had for 10+ years, which are now dying and urgently need to be replaced. Urgent in a fashion sense of course. They're a size 5 and ideally I'd just like to replace them online. But will I still be a size five - ten years later ...

Hi I have bought two pairs about 3 weeks ago and before that was about 18 months ago.
Same size as always - I have been getting a 5 since I was in my mid teens (i'm 46 now) so you should be ok!

I think shoes are the same - I've been a size 40 or 7 since I was about 14. Clothes though are definitely getting bigger. My old (as in 1980s) size 14 dresses from charity shops seem to fit as do my brand new size 10 dresses. A few years ago I started buying size 12 clothes, as opposed to size 14, but now, after having a baby(!!!) I seem to be a size 10 - at least in Wallis, M&S, Debenhams, Matalan and Peacocks, yet all my old clothes also still fit, so I think clothes are now 2 sizes bigger than they were - in some shops anyway.

That's brilliant thank you. It's not so much the size of me feet as whether COnverse sizes have changed. Though agree with you Gourd that surely sizes of clothes are changing ove the years!
