Had my eyebrows threaded last week for the first time and was told it should last for 4 or 5 weeks before any regrowth.

Well, my brows are getting really untidy again! Was she just telling porkies or am i just unbelievebly hairy Blush

That was a lie.i love threading over waxing but i wud say the longest i can go is 3 weeks before looking like a beast again lol

amberscow · 11/04/2011 22:46

However are they coming back as thick dots or soft.if dots then she is cutting the hait not pulling it out n then id go elsewhere.unfortunately with threading a lot of people say they can do it but cant

IThinkNot · 12/04/2011 08:38

well it's just growing back as if i'd plucked it. it did last a few days longer than if i'd plucked but was expecting not to have to pluck again so soon!

I had mine done for the first time last week. Love the shape and think I look far more groomed. My plan is to just pluck out any that I start seeing coming back through

RatherBeOnThePiste · 12/04/2011 09:08

I found threading so painful! Have gone back to having my eyebrows waxed
( weedy)

willybreeder · 12/04/2011 09:10

I hated the pain too but put up with it as waxing around the eye area can cause that area to sag as your pulling your skin!

brimfull · 12/04/2011 09:21

Hair growth is still the same whichever way it's yanked out surely , as long as roots taken out

IThinkNot · 12/04/2011 15:07

that's what i thought brimfull! I'll pluck a few and then get them threaded again next week in time for a wedding i'm going to. might just go to tescos to get them done for £5 though instead of £10 at debenhams Grin

RatherBeOnThePiste · 12/04/2011 16:14

Willybreeder- you shamed me about the waxing so I had them threaded this afternoon. Yes they look neat and an excellent shape, but Blimee it is almoat prohibitively painful Shock that is me screaming!

Might have to have saggy brows!
PS it cost £8.

amberscow · 12/04/2011 18:37

Just a hint so that you dont pay crazy prices.if you live near an asian area you can orob gey eyebrows done for 2.50. Thats much i pay.those brow bars are a rip off n not any better x

verysomething · 12/04/2011 19:37

£2.50???

Costs £15 at Blink in London. I'm being had. Envy

But still love how it looks - much better than waxing, more precise. And I find it hurts less than waxing when done right, too.

amberscow · 12/04/2011 20:16

yeah £2.50. went to a brow bar twice and seriously the £2.50 place was better and yeah way better shape than waxing. i guess in london it could be a little more but £5 at most!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 12/04/2011 20:31

I got the lady to show me what she did on my arm. I wanted to see how it worked! It is clever.

find an asian beauty salon, I get mine done in SW London for £3!!!

bristolcities · 12/04/2011 23:15

I only ever get the tops of my eyebrows threaded to define them, then the bottoms plucked because as explained to be by my HD brows lady the hairs often grow back in funny directions.
