I sat in the sun for less than an hour reading the paper while dd napped. I'm Italian & usually go brown immediately I see the sun but my chest is bright red (but not sore) It is proper burnt. I've out aloe vera gel on. Anything else I should do? I have a hundred moles on my chest & it looks so red I'm worried about what I've done.

Put a cold flannel on your chest.

Take some anti-oxidants and Vit C. I get mine from Aldi....very cheap compared with Boots.

Keep an eye on the moles.

Sudocrem NOT good for burns - it just keeps the heat in (learnt that the hard way after a well meaning colleague putting sudocrem on a burn)

Nooooo! Load of Woo? (Pleeeese tell me it isn't?).

Oh God, at my age? I need ALL the help I can get!!

They're not expensive and 30 odd years ago, my sister said, I should let my skin "breath" and didn't NEED SUNSCREEN in winter.......now, so many years later I have far fewer wrinkles (though she is lovely and tall and slender, and I am short and plumptious!!) than her!!

It's insurance. But.... Vit C is used in wound healing so.....must have some effect?

Stay out of the sun/well protected in the sun if you can, I guess is the only answer.
