Sweatiness

For some reason my armpits are always super-sweaty. Not pongy as I wash every day and use a deodorant, but very drippingly moist. It's not even caused by exertion, but by random stuff like making a phone call, or knowing that I have to leave to get the kids from school, or attending my language lesson Hmm.

Anyway, I used to use industrial strength anti-perspirant which did dry my pits, but tbh I really didn't dig the idea of the chemicals on my skin. I also felt a bit funny about blocking the sweat in, when my body was trying to get it out. So I use a rock crystal which seems v effective in stopping pong, but obv doesn't stop the sogginess.

Anyhoo...are there any tips for somehow reducing the sweat naturally? Or clothes that will let it evaporate quickly (I generally wear cotton or wool, rather than man-made stuff).

Or is there anyone else out there similarly afflicted? [sweaty camaraderie]

I use Mitchmum deoderant.

Otherwise the answer is botox.

Maybe see a doctor?

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/04/2011 21:06

Try zeasorb powder, it's super absorption compared to talc. Not a miracle worker though.

lookingfoxy · 07/04/2011 22:47

You can buy driclor from any chemist, it is chemicals but I go for months without sweating.
Obviously you sweat from in other areas.

CaptainNancy · 07/04/2011 22:53

What does botox do to your armpits then? I don't have many wrinkles there...

Get dress shields.

Is it an anxiety thing? I'm the same. Not hugely sweaty in heat or when exercising but really sweaty when I'm nervous.

You might be able to address it by looking at the causes and finding ways of not getting anxious or stressed (haven't managed to do this myself but just trying to be helpful Grin)
