I do hope so, as I need all the help I can get.

I'm going to a christening at the weekend - I did have a dress in mind but I've tried it on tonight and it's made me consider DIY liposuction with a bottle of gin and a turkey baster.

I have a small budget (under £50) and am 27, 5' 2", size 14 bust, 10/12 waist and hips. I've got a bit of a pot belly so would usually go for wrap, shirt or tailored dresses to try to disguise it.

I'm happy with most colours except grey (I look dead) and most prints except animal or very bold.

Most guests will be designer-clad so I'm aiming for a look that won't be out of place with outfits that cost 10x mine - any ideas? I'll be eternally grateful.

Is this any good? There are a few more within the £50 price in this range

I have a pot belly and disguise it with 50s style prom dresses.

www.scenedead.co.uk have some lovely ones.

You can make them look dressy or casual with hats/bags/shoes.

Thanks star. I like the dress but not sure it's right for the occasion - what's the verdict on black to a christening? I tend to think of black as work, evening or funerals, but I might be dragging out rules from the ark.

Not sure black is idea for a christening to be honest.

Go for a colour.

I'm never sure about the 'black' etiquette for weddings or christenings to be honest - sorry. Hope you manage to find something!!

You're very good a choosing for my shape star, you've chosen dresses very similar to ones I already have.
