Need to get measured for new bras - I get that bravissimo are best for you lucky busty ladies, but what about for those w non-norkage? Think am in region of 36B sobs.

Hi, that's my size and my current favorite is Calvin Klein. I used to wear Gossard and Maidenform a lot (terrible name, but perfect sizing and cut smaller, especially if your breasts are slightly widely spaced). All of the above have lovely balconette models. I don't want to have a padded bra - I'm happy with my bust - but I like structure, support and gentle lift and shaping. M&S had something too, although never anything very exciting.

Many French makes are built for the bird-like and I found most of their things fit me well too.

One wonderful thing you and I can wear (I find this very liberating in summer) is strapless bras. I hate bra straps showing and love to wear those under summer dresses.

Finally, I'm not a fan of cheapo chain street bras (such as H&M). They generally don't wash well, materials are usually subprime, and I don't get the support and structure I need. A good bra lasts for years and years, so it's worth investing a bit more.

For measuring, I'd recommend John Lewis as they do a full range of sizes and lots of brands. In my experience, my local one uses the same fitting technique as Bravissimo - i.e. they actually find a bra that fits rather than just measuring you

I've just recently been to House of Fraser to be measured as was fed up of M&S telling me I was a size that didn't actually fit, then shrugging when I said so and sending me away saying that they could only suggest bra fillers! I thought I was a 34AA, but didn't fill the cups and a 32AA was too tight and the cups too close together. The lady in HOF said no way was I a 34 back size and whisked me into the fitting room where she worked her way through about 10 bras - only briefly measuring me for guidance - and it turns out I am a 30C! Fit beautifully and I came away with a lovely CK 'Seductive Comfort' bra. Would definitely recommend them! Smile

I sympathise espe ially since i have the annoying combination of being small of norm but broad of back. I will bear John Lewis in mind since not even BFing could get me to Bravissimo!

Rigby and Peller are great. They don't measure you, they just give you the 'look'! Then bring you an assortment of bras, which may be slightly different sizes according to different brands, but which all magically fit. Very good experience!

I was a 34b but left a 32c! Bit pricey but they last and last. Lots of French makes there which seem the best quality. Still got one that is 5 years old and is a bit worn now but still has great support.
