Makeup Advice Needed

Hi everyone,

I've decided that my makeup probably needs to be replaced as I think I've had most things three-four years. I don't wear it much (generally just if I'm going out, rather than day-to-day) though have thought about wearing a little every day to make myself look my age (I'm thirty, look about 12!).

What make would you recommend? And what should I buy? Plus, what skincare routine should I start using? I'm not good at doing much, though used to use a facewash in the shower of a morning and a scrub once a week.

Many thanks,

M

Check out Bare Escentuals (just google them). Their make up is amazing. Really subtle, built in sunscreen and a little goes a long way.

I really like Boots No7 hot cloth face wash thingy. Use in shower, very hydrating and cleanses well.

Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser.

Max Factor Masterpiece mascara

Gosh (superdrug) waterproof eyeshadow sticks (BRILL)

Mama Mio Clean Slate face wash is excellent. No nasties just lots of good things :) it is expensive but it lasts for ages. Use the code kateisfab for 20% off.

Chanel Hydramax tinted moisturiser - although that may be a little rich for you (I am 40 so drier skin). But am sure they must do others.

Max Factor Masterpiece Mascara.

Max Factor powder blush in Natural Glow

No 17 Bronzer - cheap and gives a lovely natural glow

Bourjois eye pencils are great and I also love Mac shadows as eyeliner too - they have great colours and the assistants are always friendly and knowledgeable.

Rimmel for lip gloss and nail polish

i would get a nice eyeshadow in a neutrally dark champagne/taupe colour, with a hint of sheen. Very nice for everyday, for more of a groomed look.
