Could this dress be made suitable for evening-y?

don't know if the link will work, but it's the Ranelagh dress.

I have been searching (though, I do still have three months til the wedding), and this is the best contendor so far.

It's going to be in July in a hot country, but will be indoors in the air-conditioning. I'll need to cover my arms as they're ming, so may need suggestions for that. I was thinking of wearing it with nude satin shoes and carrying a sparkly gold bag.

Is it evening-y enough? I'm 29, I am concerned that it might be a bit old.

Wow! It is lovely. And I think it could easily be accessorised for a wedding. i think it is quite a dressy dress.
Nude shoes would be lovely, although I prefer patent to satin myself.
You could try to add some colour...colour blocking is very in.
Green Courts
Purple Clutch
However,I realise that may not be to everyones taste. Grin

Sorry but I think it is too old for you.You could get away with something a lot funkier at only 29.

Avoid 'funky' at all costs Wink

I like the dress, it's classic and fifties-esque. Wear with kitten heels, hat and clutch. And possibly gloves.

I prefer this one or this one, though.

Love the dress :)

Thanks for the comments.

I think it could go either way - elegant/hepburnesque or OLD. And Hobbs got quite the slating on S&B yesterday.

I have also been contemplating this for a while, but think it might be too dark and heavy for a Mediterrannean summer wedding.

I think it's lovely. I'm 27 and a size 10, and I'm also considering it for a summer wedding. I would wear it with red lipstick and green high heel shoes to avoid the granny look.

I think the Ranelagh dress is beautiful. With the right shoes / jewellery it will look amazing.

Good find. I don't think it would be 'old' Smile

After a 20th look, I am liking it more. I think I need to see it in the flesh, as I'm not entirely sure the website does it justice. And find a fabulous coverup as well.

Thanks for the help peeps
