Fake tan question: how do you tan your hands?

I use St Tropez Gradual Tanner. Obviously, I use the lotion all the way down to my fingers but given that you have to wash your hands thoroughly after application, some of the tan comes off and I end up with white fingers.....which looks very odd.

So how do I get hands to match my arm colour?

I use a Velvotan (sp?) mitt to just 'swipe' down over the hands (and also to apply elsewhere so that I don't get tan on my palms).

Another vote for a mitt. Have used one for years to avoid the white-hand problem. I've always got mine from the Body Shop - can't see it on their website hence no link but I have always been able to buy them in their shops. Another tip I read tho' is to wipe the backs of your hands down your legs (or wherever else you've applied the tan) after washing them so that you get a little self-tan back onto them.

Thank you for replies.

Think I will try LolaLadybird 's tip first and if that doesn't work then I will buy a mitt.

Thanks again :)
