I like the Avon leave in humidity control...works a treat whilst I am at the seaside, and my hair is a nightmare usually !!

This is it, and it's on offer too !!

sowhatshallido · 01/04/2011 13:08

that sounds too good to be true if it means i can put it on, and then after i've straightened my hair, and go out in the damp, it will not turn into a curly frizz ball?
Can this work for me like this?

aquavit · 01/04/2011 13:13

I quite like the Trevor Sorbie anti-humidity spray, I use it to finish off after I've straightened. It's in the 'beautifully moisturised' range I think, which is a bit ironic cause actually it makes my hair feel a little dry, but it does work and it is shinier than regular hairspray. FWIW my hair is quite fine, a bit dry and very frizz-prone.

there's also one in the lee stafford range that comes in very PINK cans - also good, much less dry-making (too much = grease city), but the scent is very heavy and sickly.

or you could try spraying regular hairspray onto a paddle brush and smoothing it through after you have straightened your hair, that's quite effective

Morrocan oil is great for frizzes and keeping them at bay.

Thanks all. What's Moroccan oil, valium? I'd hesitate to put anything oily on my hair.

BIOSILK SILK THERAPY TREATMENT - AMAZING

aquavit · 01/04/2011 14:32

AllTheGoodOnes, is the biosilk basically a serum or does it do more than that?

valiumredhead · 01/04/2011 14:32

Have a search on here OP there are LOADS of threads about how good it is. Don't let the term 'oil' put you off - it isn't oily at all. It has transformed my hair completely.

I got a load of stuff from the Lee Stafford Climate Control range - shampoo, conditioner, serum and spray PLUS his Moroccan oil - as it was available at my local Boots. Very impressed. My hair survived the humidity of Florida - especially when I remembered to finish off with the spray - to the extent that I didn't even have to wash it every day. Thanks aquavit & valium
