best electric toothbrush recommendations pls

hi,been advised by hygenist to use a electric toothbrush,okay im all for that so what one do you have and would you recommend it

id like one that will polish/keep stains away/at bay as im a smoker and coffe drinker,had a quick look and there is a huge amount to choose from

I think Philips Sonicare are good.

My dentist recommended Oral B, had Philips Sonicare before that. Oral B heads are easier to buy in supermarkets, FWIW.

I've been buying the Oral B 500 for about 10 years. It's not top of the range but does the job and definitely makes a difference.

I always buy it half price from somewhere or other (Argos & JL at the mo -£22) but I suspect this is it's real retail price anyway.

I love our Braun Oral B. We have the 1000 (I think) - much less expensive than the top-of-the-range versions because it doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but it has just as many rotations per minute etc, so the clean is just as good.
