cos i find once you reach a size 18-22 most places dont stock stuff in those sizes. ASDA has become better with larger sizes, and i have discovered size up/yours in gr yarmouth, evans just isnt 'me' IYKWIM. i am a size 20 atm.

Matalan go up to a 22 (poss 24 but def 22) in everything they do and some of their things are actually nice!

spookylucy · 27/10/2005 22:50

Because im in Spain its really hard, im an 18 bottom and 20 top. I can only go to evans, thank god they have them here, got some trendy stuff not all mummsy. We are also lucky to have c and a here and their normal range goes up to 20 and have a larger sizes range. If im desperate I go to gibraltar and go to bhs and marks.

I rang Bush Hall, but unfortunately they don't do lunches on Sundays, so DH suggested we just go a pub really close by us in the end. Plan to try Bush Hall another time though!

Dodsey · 27/10/2005 23:21

New Look do some really trendy stuff in a larger sizes range.

BudaBabe · 27/10/2005 23:36

I now just waht you mean Misdee. I am a 22/24 ATM.

Bought a few things in Evans last time Iwas home. Also just recently realised Monsoon go up to a 22!!! yay. I find Ann Harvey very matronly. I also get C&A here in Budapest so find the odd thing there. Just been to H&M inVienna and bought some things in there.

It is a case of just trawling around.

I find that even if I am a size in trsrs, tops wont fit. Boden trsrs fit me but their tops are skimpy.

M&S has some stuff.

I keep swerng I am goingo get down to an 18 so I have more choice!

spookyserenity · 28/10/2005 01:26

Oooh saying Evans is mumsy was obviously not popular I will say that our branch is really small, so maybe you get better stuff in larger ones?

BudaBabe · 28/10/2005 07:14

It def depends on the branch of Evans - bigger ones tend to be best. There is a lot of Mumsy stuff and some cheap tat too but it's good for basics. They are on line too apparently.

Bewitched · 28/10/2005 08:57

I'm very excited by the news that Monsoon go up to 22. I used to buy loads of stuff there years ago when I was smaller, so will have to go on a shopping spree there again once baby pops out!

Evans def depends on the branch. I have 2 branches near me, and they tend to have loads of diff stuff in at the same time!

Also should say that some branches of Tesco have started doing larger sizes too, so have a few bits from there.

Misdee - if you ever go to MK Centre at Milton Keynes, there's a branch of H&M there that does BiB range.

I am finding it harding to buys clothes for me now that I am a sahm - easier before when I had to buy work clothes as I used to shop in Elvi and Ann Harvey. Not keen on Evans. I can no longer afford Elvi or Ann Harvey - and want more casual clothes anyway. I did a search on the internet and found Simply Be a really good site. Ordered a few things, although I got the sizes wrong - jeans too big, tops too tight - which reminds me I must send them back....

i shop at all these, but also got some really nice stuff in East (sale). Worth a try. Their waists are quite nice and generous.

spookylips · 28/10/2005 09:24

my friend likes Etam as they have large sizes too

vickiyumyum · 30/10/2005 16:45

our etams has closed down and jsut as it had got rid of all the nasty polyester and man made materials and tarty tacky clothes, replaced with lovely simple tops that were long enough to cover the stomach area, without looking like tents and now thaey have gone and closed down. are they all closed? does anyone know?

misdee, i got some lovely tops in m&s in the normal range (most things up to a 22)and a lovely skirt.

princessmea · 30/10/2005 16:46

yep our etam has closed as well

JonesTheSteam · 31/10/2005 11:36

Our Etam has closed down as well (Cardiff) and I think Monsoon have moved in!

Maybe they've all closed down!
