open pores on legs

The bottom half of my legs are sooo unsightly! I got sick of shaving daily and feeling prickly so I started to epilate a year or so ago. But my legs are constantly covered in red bumps/open big disgusting pores. Do you think its the epliating or my lack of moisturising? Does anyone else get these or have found a miracle product/hair removal method?

Many thanks!

are they open pores or ingrown hairs?

I got terrible ingrown hairs with epilation. try squeezing them - if a gnarly hair pops out, epilation is not your friend.

What about laser...?

Mostly open pores, the odd ingrown gnarly popper :(

Thanks Rennies. What would a leg of laser set you back?

I used to have this too. They would only look good for about 1 hour after shaving then the redness and open pore look would take over! Any fake tan just looked awful as the pores ( or open follicles I guess?) would go dark brown and even more noticeable. I had laser removal in the end which has made such a difference, the skin is just smooth now. I am not sure exactly how much it cost, my local lace had an offer on for buying a package and then I had an extra treatment after that to zap the last few. I went to Courthouse Clinics, they are nationwide I think.

Get on Groupon if you're thinking about laser hair removal - they often have good deals for it!
