What are the rules?

I think I read on here recently not to wear black boots with jeans. What other fashion rules do you live by?

well after reading on here not to wear ankle boots with bootcut jeans, I have stopped doing that!

Erm....no tights with sandals?!!!!

No polo-necks under shirts!

But then I wear black boots with jeans...

If it's the thread I'm thinking of it mean't a certain type of jean and a certain type of boot. 'Mum' ones .

Not wearing tights as trousers.

Made worse by the GIANT white knickers worn underneath. We can see them you know!

Everyone has their own set of rules.

I wantonly wear black opaques with white or tan shoes and wear polo necks even though I am ample chested.

I would never be seen dead in a pair of leggings and/or a tunic or flip flops.

In fact, the only golden rule I can think of is never wear clothes with pictures of people prettier than you on them.

Don't show your hooters and your legs at the same time - one or the other!

If you like jewellery and accessories always look in the mirror before you go out and take one thing off.

Paint your toenails if you're wearing sandals.

You can never be over dressed in any situation.

Never go without tights/stockings/socks during any month with an 'r' in it

I also never show my upper arms as they are horrible so I don't do sleeveless. Don't think that applies to everyone though!

I hate knee-high boots with bare legs. Looks horribly cheap.

Ignore the rules and wear what you want!

God - I'm as fashion obsessed as umm - well lets just say I like clothes but I hate all these stupid rules.

I have boobs but still wear high necks and they look good. I also wear bare legs in September, black boots with jeans, white jeans, maxi dresses, leopard print, mini skirts and am knocking towards 40.
