Oops. I seem to have bought 4 dresses.

Blush

apologies to those who've already helped in my search for a dress that I could wear round my 32hh's.

So I ordered two french connection dresses from asos:

Pretty Blue floral

bit garish? looks brighter in RL

While wating for those I went to buy bras at bravissimo and came home with these:

stripes

great shape, not sure about the colour

I really can't keep them all, but they all fit pretty well.

Which do I keep?

(I'm a 12 at the bottom, 32HH at the top, blonde, fairish skin)

But thanks. Grin

Just spotted this at Jigsaw. Might be worth a punt.

WhatsWrongWithYou · 25/03/2011 23:18

Ooh and this.

WhatsWrongWithYou · 25/03/2011 23:21

Or maybe...

SarkyLady · 26/03/2011 09:41

La la la. I can't hear you.

Go away with your dresses - I have too many already!

Ok I have made a decision.

And I will not change my mind...

I'm keeping 'stripes' and 'garish'. The florals are going back.

The fc floral is a beautiful dress but I just don't think that I'll wear it very much. Bit too flouncy. I don't have a flouncy life :)
And I always knew that the colours if the B floral one weren't right. Was seduced by how well it fit. Again I just know I won't wear it enough.

Thanks all.

Sorry, this is not hugely helpful if you are trying to stop buying, but I tried that last jigsaw one on in the sale (I'm a 34F) and I thought it was a really good fit. Couldn't afford it then, can't really justify it now, but I still sometimes imagine wearing it out and about...

I find jigsaw can be cut either really badly for boobs, or really well. I tried on one dress and the woman in the shop suggested a CROPPED jacquard jacket in Navy blue with one button that made it slightly triangular. I looked like I was wearing a cardboard box. She thought it looked great Hmm.

I really like the french connection ones, I would never be brave enough for stripes!

SarkyLady · 26/03/2011 10:06

I'm not brave. Foolish and deluded maybe?

I feel your pain - I'm a 36FF which means my frame is bigger than yours and boobs are smaller, but I still haven't owned any non-stretchy dresses in years! I'm in the process of learning how to make my own clothes as there are ways of fucking about with the pattern to make them fit better at the top - I think that's essentially what Bravissimo have done then made the patterns up into ready-to-wear.

I was down the local market yesterday lunchtime, where they sell high-street clothing with the labels cut out (whether they're seconds or off the back of a lorry I am not sure...) but I found a tulip-print dress that fitted perfectly. Though a google found it was from the Holly Willoughby range at Very - yeah, I know. Anyway, it's a really sweet tea dress. We'll see how it holds up to washing, as the fabric is very sheer, but it does seem to be cut for a bigger bust.

I often think I should take up dressmaking, especially when it comes to dresses. Don't think I'd attempt anything for a special occasion, but it'd be nice to have a few to sling on in the summer.
