Derma Roller - Why don't I know about this?

Looks like a small wheel with tiny spikes. Apparently, you roll it over your skin to be rid of wrinkles, acne scars and stretch marks.
I don't believe that, do you?

Someone please tell me it's a miracle!

I think it's supposed to remove dead cells from skin, thus exposing fresher new skin underneath. I suppose it's like dermabrasion really. Sounds a bit too good to be true to me too.

It's a collagen thing (allegedly) - the tiny spikes make little pricks in the skin, the healing of which mean more collagen is being created - which is all rejuvenatey. I have read about them, but have never known anyone who has used one. You gonna be the guinea pig, OP ?

Mmm. They are available to buy fairly cheaply, it seems. I wouldn't mind but would like to hear from someone who has tried it first.

I would imagine it's a bit uncomfortable and I'm worried it might cause little broken veins on my cheeks.

Come on, someone MUST have tried it!

Be careful where you buy cheap ones from as they can damage your skin apparently. They need to be sterile and the needles must be the right size/type.

I am quite intrigued to hear about anyone's experience of these though.

I think needles need to be 1.5mm for lines/wrinkles but yes, keeping things sterile is v important.

I'm just thinking the lack of response here means either (a) it's rubbish or (b) I've just discovered something fab and everyone's going to thank me for it.

Don't think it's likely to be (b) TBH.

Personally I'd go to a beautician/clinic first. You can find one that uses derm- rolling here
