I used to live in the tropics and tried many different ones. My favorite so far is California Baby SPF 30. Less messy and oily and better consistency than the others. However, all the "natural" ones will be a bit messy. My DD and I didn't like them all that much and only used them for face and hands and other bits that couldn't be covered up.

For a baby who can't walk, by far the best option is a pram/ stroller sunshade. I used ones by ProtectABub and they worked really well. No need for sun creams. Keep your baby in the shade.

When my DD learned to walk and enjoy our yard pool, by far the best option was a wide-brimmed hat + children's UV block suit (2 pieces, long sleeves, 3/4 length shorts) - DD's were by Hyphen but H&M did a decent cheapo version last year and may still have them.

You may find this information interesting/useful.

I also use green baby suncream for myself, it's not really thick and white like so many of the other natural ones.

Lavera do a really nice organic one. I used the green people one when my ds was a baby but I found the Lavera one easier to put on as it is thinner and in a spray. I got the green one so you can see where it goes. The green t
int fades after it is on.
