tinted moisturisers for legs

OK so its sunny. And I'm a bit white. Well, glow in the dark actually, so I would like your recommendations for a tanning moisturiser that will give my legs a healthy glow but not make me go orange. And also is there a particular routine you need to follow in order to get the best out of it or do you just slap it on after a shower?

Rimmell Sun Shimmer is fab. You can wash it off if you fuck it up too.

is that a moisturiser or an actual self tan cream? I'm not sure I could do the self tan cream without getting it patchy?
The only ones I've heard of are the dove summer glow and I think there is a johnsons one too?

MAC Face & Body foundation is nice on legs, makes them all even toned. Just find a shade a few shades darker than your natural tone - ie. if you go olive toned naturally get something from the C range and if you go a warmer tan then go for the N range.

Yep, it's that time of year again.....I have to make the choice between the back of my knees looking like a piece of Stilton or, opt for the self-tan.

I use Dove....though it can stain your clothes a funny yellow colour. Or you could try the new St Tropez wash off body lotion. Lovely but a bit pricey for every day.

Also, have to paint toe nails a bright Delhi Red (feet are about to debut at the weekend if this weather holds) to distract from crap application of said self tan.

(Goes off to find nail varnish singing 60's ditty..."I'm a tiger I'm a tiGER"

The rimmell one isn't fake tan, it's more of a tinted moisturiser... I look strange with fake tan and I can't bear the smell, so the rimmell suits me!

I moisturise first, then apply the rimmell shimmer, then I blend it in with a slightly damp flannel... works a treat!

BovrilonToast · 24/03/2011 14:15

Oh, and the rimmell stuff is about £6.00

Sun Shimmer

Bovril.....does it wear off on your clothes? My uniform is white!

BovrilonToast · 24/03/2011 14:27

No, I don't so, unless you get very wet you should be fine!

RamblingRosa · 24/03/2011 14:32

I would be worried about all my clothes being a bit brown!

wendihouse22 · 24/03/2011 17:23

God, I wish everyone was running about buying skin whitening cream!!!

Maybe, one day, corned beef legs will be the height of fashion?

Forget tinted mooisturiser, espe ially with white uniform

You need Garnier Summer body. Use like moisturiser. You will soon work out how often you need to apply it to get the desired colour. Doesn't rub off on clothing

GeneHuntsMistress · 24/03/2011 17:46

St tropez Everyday

Its deffo the best. Best subtle colour and smell and no rub off on clothes!
