Maxi dresses from the early 1990s, has anyone seen any?

Do you remember?

They had spaghetti straps and were straighter, ie there was no empire line or gathering around the bust.

Mine was black and I wore mine over a body.

It was a really easy look to wear, and I want another one.

Does anyone remember them and even more hopefully, has anyone seen any similar?

The ones today really look like pub carpeting.

Last night I found a pale green /grey one that was the underdress for a silk green Jigsaw dress.
I used to wear it with a pale grey T-shirt over the top in probably 1995!
Have still got both,have got out to wear

Today am wearing my black t-shirt maxi dress over a blue long sleeved top with my clogs and denim jacket.
Feel very spring like and it is a flattering look (finally gets a way to wear a maxi dress without being swamped)

Hi this is my standard wear....er still. I have a few linen maxi dresses that are strappy and cut shift like with no empire line and in winter I layer them up and when warmer pop a fitted t underneath. I still love to wear my cropped denim jacket and pendant thong necklaces. I don't like jeans or trousers but hate feeling flouncy. I am hoping that PRimark does another run on these so I can stockpile. Am so fed up with all the empire line maxi dresses which serve to enlarge rather than flatter. I have worn my hair in a pixie since the 1990's. No fashion since has really grabbed me to be honest. If you happen upon any said dresses anytime soon please let me know.
