I have this and am thinking of cutting out shoulder pads as have broad shoulders anyway.

Wise or will I ruin my lovely dress?

Anyone cut shoulder pads out before?

I've done it loads of times - although I'm quite broad shouldered so it doesn't massively change the shape of the dress just makes me look less American footballer

I too have done it :)

Go forth & un-Krystal Carrington yourself :)

Ok I'm going to. I am really rubbish at sewing so if it doesn't look right won't be able to get them back in but you two and a glass of red are giving me courage!

Fabric glue is your friend!

:)

I've done it many times but only if the shoulder pads have been tacked on. Good luck, but don't ruin the dress, it's lovely Smile

What's fabric glue style Confused Is it like wunderweb?

stylenotfashion · 23/03/2011 08:11

It's glue that glues fabric and keeps it stuck in the washing machine etc so it doesn't fall apart when washed (like normal glue?) It makes it non-stiff too.

For shit sewers lazy buggers like me, it's great :) I tend to hack rather than sew.

Obv gotta test it on an unseen area.
