I think I remember it's a ponytail on your parting then snip snip feather feather.

Is the ponytail suuposed to be right on your forehead edge or in the middle of your head?

I'm feeling adventurous!! Wink

How great is that!? Sooo easy, fab result as well, suited the model. Wonder if there's a knack to it though?

southeastastra · 21/03/2011 13:42

yeah get lee stafford to do it Grin

MrsSeanBean · 21/03/2011 13:54

Proceed with caution and know that it may give you very short layers and leave the rest of your hair quite long. Could end up looking a bit 'straggly' on wrong hair type.

I once saw it demonstrated somewhere online and thought the hair looked better in the 'before' pic.

Might be better to graduate the hair by dividing in centre at back of head, then pulling each section forwards over your shoulders and cutting diagonally, so the weight is distributed towards the centre back.

Good - see below Grin

Don't do it!! Has taken me 18 months to grow mine back to looking nice again - as MrsSeanBean says very short layers on top, but rest of hair still quite long (think eighties pop star). Ended up having it bobbed, but still looked odd due to short top layers. Steer clear!!!

I think it might work better if you enlisted a friend / DP to help, did a ponytail in centre back of head, pulled it out backwards at right angles, then snipped into it. This would give similar effect but with longer layers.

I'm glad my theory has been proven (but sorry you had to suffer a mullet for 18 mths neenook!)

Meggles76 · 21/03/2011 19:51

MrsseanBean is right. Do a ponytail at nape of neck and cut a little at a time. You can always cut more off but can't stick it back on Wink

OK! MN haircut it is then...with care Confused
