I'm a top-heavy size 12/14.

Mango

more Mango

both to wear on non-work days with wedge sandals.

Love them both, especially the first.

snice · 17/03/2011 10:30

I wouldn't have picked either as being great for someone 'top-heavy'

SarkyLady · 17/03/2011 11:09

glad you like them Stokey... is one vote of confindence enought for me to go ahead and order?

Snice - I find that the key to dressing my shape is a dress that broadens the shoulders so that my boobs look less freakishly large Grin

See I much prefer the second one. It's lovely.

sparkle1977 · 17/03/2011 11:11

I like them both too, more so the first one because of the colour.

SarkyLady · 17/03/2011 11:14

so if I order them both will loads of people come on and tell me they are crap?

Bluddy: Is the second one just dull or is is actively horrible?

The are lovely except that in a top heavy situation having such a high neckline can look a bit matronly

Chandon · 17/03/2011 12:08

you need good legs as they are defo above the knee.

BrainThrustMastery · 17/03/2011 12:15

Another vote for the first dress (not sure why but the second one seems more sack-like!) Smile

carryon · 17/03/2011 12:42

I think the second depending on your colouring.

SarkyLady · 17/03/2011 12:44

I have fabulous legs Grin

well, they are ok.
or at least they are less freakish than the rest of me.

I'm blonde with fairish skin and blue eyes. Unless you ask DS1 who is adamant that my hair is brown.

Neither-will do nothing for something with large norks. You need a cowl,v or sweetheart neckline. These dresses will only make them look larger and you fatter.

carryon · 17/03/2011 12:47

You are the same colouring as me and my non expert opion is the second dress won't suit your colouring.

MooMooFarm · 17/03/2011 12:51

I am top heavy too (if that means big tits?)Grin and I would not wear a dress like these.

On me they would transform my boobs into a matronly shelf. I wear dresses and tops with a lower neckline, definitely showing a bit more 'skin' (not necessarily down to cleavage area) to balance me out and make me look shapely rather than porky.

MooMooFarm · 17/03/2011 12:52

Forgot to say - or wrap-dressesl; they are really flattering.

MooMooFarm · 17/03/2011 12:52

'dresses' - sorry Blush

SarkyLady · 17/03/2011 12:59

I've done the wrap dress thing too, but they are a bit too "and here are my breasts" for my liking.

The two most flattering dresses that I've ever bought both have a slightly higher neckline, but the shoulders to balance me out - one is from french connection last year (can't find a link) and the other is the phase eight 'janice'.

MooMooFarm · 17/03/2011 13:04

Ooh if you find a link can you put it on here pls?

I quite like saying 'and here are my breasts' now and again but would like to see those dresses too! Grin
