Does or should "Joules" clothing carry an age limit ?

Just wondered, I wouldnt dream of wearing these items at 40. I've seen some women in their late 50's. A super slim friend is 30 but I'm not convinced by the look.

Do you think they are for much older or much younger women? I can see how "granny chic" might work on a 20 yo and a much older woman might get away with tweed and floral dresses, but no way would most of their stuff suit me in my 40s.

I have a gilet and a couple of tops but they are just their normal coloured sweater tops so nothing emblazed with Joules or the numbers. I think I look fine but I'd not wear the standard Joules t-shirts with aforementioned numbers/joules logo everywhere.

I buy a tweed jacket or two for work every season and I'm 38. I do wear a lot of country style clothing anyway and it means I can still look like me in a professional environment.

However if I were much thinner/richer I'd be in Katherine Hooker or similar!!

I wouldn't (couldn't!!) wear the short skirts and logos but I think the rest of it is pretty classic.

Massively depends on the item!

Really depends on the item - I've got a plain polo shirt and pair of cords, which are good quality, but I don't like the stuff with logos on.

CeliaFate · 16/03/2011 20:44

Their boot socks are gorgeous! I've got a hoodie which isn't grannyish. I've just got a delivery of a dress and a jersey top. The top has a huge hole in it! Not impressed.

The polo shirts aside, I quite like Joules these days. Like most clothing, it's all in the styling. Their A/W 10/11 range catalogue gave some great vintage-esque ideas. But tis true, the polo shirts et al look sad - particularly when termed with gilet and wellies.....unless one is actually off to the stables!

I like their non logo'd stuff - but the knitwear does pill awfully.

If anyone is interested - 15% and free P&P with RED this month - code is "RED471" (til April 17th)

I have a blue cord skirt and a breton style top - is it too outrageous to wear these at 54? Some of the print dresses are nice but they always sell out before I have made my mind up.

My first ever order arrived last week and am pleased. Got a beautiful golden yellow cardigan for dd (3y) and one of the draped layering tops and vests in cream (sent grey back) from the catalogue. I'm wearing it now with skinny cargos and is tres flattering (hides muffin well) Btw I'm in my early 30s and follow fashion.

I wear quite a lot of Joules casual stuff eg sweats, polos, fleeces etc. I'm 33.

My DC also wear a lot of Joules, they are 4, 6 and 8 Grin
