Here

Thought they'd be good for warmer days when my toenails are looking a bit tatty, or Spring days when I still need tights. The chunkiness would possibly offset my treetrunk ahem, not-quite-colt-like limbs.

I'm thinking 1970s mum-look - A line skirt, opaque coloured tights, slim top...

Whatcha think?

Oh DonaAna - I like those Lotta clogs! Are they comfy though? At least with the Clarks ones you know they'd be comfy [middle-aged emoticon]

I'm still wrestling with the 1974 issue and unsure whether I will get a pair of cherry-red Lottas or not. Very tempted though. So I don't know about the fit. A store nearby sells them and I've been meaning to go there to check them out.

The problem with the Clarks is that they look comfortable :D

i have them! They did them last year too, in more of a nude.

Pay no heed to clueless naysaters - I shall be wearing again this year with denim A-line, and flares. and they are like walking on AIR.

pink4ever · 15/03/2011 21:30

fugliest shoes EVER.

netbook · 15/03/2011 21:52

If they are made of the Clarks fake wood sole that is actually bendy rubber they will ultra comfortable!

However these are more stylish!

scampadoodle · 15/03/2011 22:20

Charitygirl: is it the Clarks ones you're talking about? Apart from the heel/sole not being wood, I reckon they are super-similar to the Lotta ones. And easier to return if the fit isn't right. You have convinced me...

netbook: yes, the Sanita ones are lovely but they're v expensive. And a wedge would be comfier. (do you notice a theme here? [aforementioned middle-aged emoticon]

i love love love these. The fulginess is part of their innate charm, you need to embrace them and love them, and definitely buy them!!

charitygirl · 16/03/2011 10:01

Hi yes - I'm talking about the Clarks ones.

You won't regret it - I'm so over the idea that even 'ironic' shoes like clogs have to be super sexy/high/dainty. BORING!

detachandtrustyourself · 16/03/2011 12:00

Clumpy is good!

I kinda like them in the way you've described the style you're going for. With some quirky accessories (knitted brooches, little beanie, silk retro scarf...) they won't even look like Clarks shoes. In my opinionh, however, these shoes would work too and they're nicer.www.amazon.co.uk/Fly-London-Womens-Black-Shoes/dp/B003X35B5K/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1300279808&sr=1-8&searchContext=B004D38Z98,B001O5BE1O,B0038QM4VG,B003O44CJE,B000YPWJ6O,B003X33CGA,B003X33C4W,B003X35B5K,B004D3986C,B004S69HTC,B004S68ISI,B004BX9S5K

Polaris · 16/03/2011 12:57

Oh gawd they are so mumsy they could have milky breasts.

Should we try and find you something similar, but cooler?

Polaris · 16/03/2011 12:59

Am all over those Sanita clogs though. Much better.
