1 Hr in London. Need shoes, where?

Hello

I am in London for work. I really need some comfortable but nice shoes to fit my sore pregnant lady feet

I reckon I can go AWOL for about an hour or so. Where's the best one stop shoe shop within easy striking distance of Westminster?

I was going to go to Oxford street Topshop, because that's what I would've done in my previous life but is there somewhere bettter?

Thanks

Ecco, Camper, Clarks Originals (their desert wedge boots are wonderful) or Geox? All on Oxford St. Or browse new Selfridges shoe hall for drooling over.

John Lewis on Oxford Street.

Excellent Oxford St sounds like a good bet.

Dont laugh, I'm a country mouse, where is Selfridges?

If you walk up Victoria Street from Westminster there's the Army & Navy (House of Fraser) and they have a good shoe dept. There's a Next quite near there too, on the same strip of shops, I recall.

Oxford St is a little bit of a trek from Westminster, you can hop on the Jubilee line 2 stops to Bond St then you pop out almost opposite Selfridges. But I find their shoe dept overwhelming - it is so huge!

If you are going on the tube I'd take the District Line a couple of stops to Sloane Sq and go in Peter Jones (John Lewis) there, usually much quieter than Oxford St and easier from Westminster.

You'll just have to let us know how you get on! Am a veteran of the one-hour-from-Westminster shopping dash Smile

Will do Smile

Me too (veteran of one hour from Westminster). if you go the District Line to Sloane Sq option (used to be a 'lunch-hour' favourite of mine, there's also a Geox shop just down the King's Rd which may be worth a look.As well as usual suspects - Hobbs, L K Bennett, Russell and Bromley. Think there's Kurt Geiger too, but an hour's not very long !

South Molten St for shoes (near Bond St tube)

A lovely little street which has Bertie, Kurt Geiger, Hobbs, Office and a couple of other shoe shops.

I second going to Army & Navy on Victoria Street. V close to Westminster and a good shoe department with a couple of "comfy" lines as well as more on trend options.

Thanks for all your wonderful help. I got these. I like them though they're quite a departure from what I am used to. I'm not sure if they look ok with dresses.

Otchayaniye I have surprised myself by liking the clarks wedged desert boots, again 1990 miles away from somthing I would usually wear but somthing about them appeals to me. Would they worm with a summer dress do you think (these and how can I really know what I like when I am an exhausted, uncomfortable, hormonal mess ? Confused
