La Redoute order update !

I posted last week about this - I had ordered some boots on Thursday evening and did not get a confirmation e-mail.

Well, I rang them on Friday, and they said that there was no record of my order, so must not have gone through, so I should re-order.

I found some other boots at Kew on Friday so did not bother re-ordering. But guess what -today I got an e-mail from them saying my order was ready to be dispatched !!! Confused

Have to say, my experiences of La Redoute have been less than brilliant.

Have vowed never to bother again (despite being bombarded with offers)

I tried to order a coat a couple of years ago from the French site, to be delivered to French FIL. I placed the order and was then told it was out of stock three days later. However, they had charged me for the coat. Then delivered two coats to FILs house. But wouldn't let him have them unless he paid for both there and then. Even though I ordered one, not two and had already paid for it.

Zut alors.

Oh, no that doesn't sound good !!
I can just imagine it's going to be a bit of a drama if I decide to send them back (which is likely - boots were 75% off and they had lots of sizes left - not usually a good sign !!)

There delivery/customer service is often shocking. A winter hat I ordered for DS came in the spring, for example.

They are/were good for bed linen & table cloths. They used to be the only place I could find square pillow cases and bolster pillows.

I have the odd good item from them.

When they do offer discounts though it's only "as long as it's not a cheap item/branded item/sale item/month with an R etc etc.Angry
