What type of jacket goes with a grey denim mini skirt?

What type of jacket would you wear with a grey denim skirt?

I will need a light jacket (more than a cardigan) and preferably one that looks good open rather than done up.

Any ideas? TIA

That would mean that the coat was longer than the skirt though, would that not look a bit...flasher?

One of those military style jackets would look nice. Not too heavy and still quite smart.

Or blazer, some nice ones around with waterfall lapels? (different from a waterfall Cardigan which is a mn crime apparently)

Thanks all, i have a military style jacket like this www.laredoute.co.uk/military-jacket-in-soft-fabric-80-wool.htm?ProductId=324178820&t=6 but it doesnt look as good worn open and its not that comfortable- quite stiff. I think the waterfall jacket would be comfortable and go well so will have a look for one of those- thanks!
