Dress for family party

It is DH's grandma's 90th bday party this month and they are having a big family party at a hotel in the evening. Want to get something new but not spend a fortune and something i can wear again (DH's family has a number of glamourous female relations who are into their designer labels hence want to look good).

What do you think of either of these dresses...

I am quite tall (5'10), size 10/12, light brown shoulder length straight hair, tend to suit navy, grey, green so these are slight deviation from my normal colours....

Have a gorgeous pair of Jimmy Choo nude heels that I was given for Christmas so would like to wear those with it and thinking black opaque tights.

black spot print

stripey 50s style

I like the 2nd one better..first is a little boring, but other one could look v v expensive with your choo's..

Oversize clutch too, and gold earrings/bracelets.. Smile

I like the first one better- 2nd one could look a bit mother of the bride I think.

yy to oversized clutch and gold earrings though.

Eek 50:50, I went and tried them both on and they actually both looked nice! Also had 20% off promotion in Oasis which made them even nicer.

Bought both am going to try on at home with everything and decide. Think first one will prob get more wear.

Just need to find some gold earrings now - thanks for accesorising tip!
