tidyminge · 04/03/2011 21:28

I have tried shaving (dh says its like velcro)
I have also tried veet sensitive but ended up with a rather nasty chemical burn and no I didnt leave it on too long.
Am too much of a chicken to wax it.
So how do you do it? Any tips for shaving to I dont end up with a stubbly mess??

Don't tidy, just leave it the hell alone for the above reasons. IMHO seems unnecessary, why are are you bothering if you finding it such a PITA?

It your dh tidying his?

FrameyMcFrame · 04/03/2011 21:33

trim with sharp scissors.
Unless you're planning on doing a porno anything else is unnecessary. :)

mummynoseynora · 04/03/2011 21:35

I too simply trim... with an occasional shave at the top as its a tad larger since they had to shave it for 2 x CS

tidyminge · 04/03/2011 21:36

Yeah he does trim his but he works in a hot country so it helps him stay a bit cooler IYSWIM. I'm not talking the whole lot off but I do like to tidy it up a bit for swimming etc.

quire frankly after childbirth, waxing is a doddle. However I suffer from bad ingrowing hairs so the 70's look it is for me! Grin

southeastastra · 04/03/2011 21:36

i gave up and it does it's own thing now - so much easier

ENormaSnob · 04/03/2011 21:41

I shave it daily in the shower.

donnie · 04/03/2011 21:46

WTF is a 'minge'?

MmeLindt · 04/03/2011 21:50

I have a hair cutter. Very easy to use. And you can adjust the length that you want.

Panzee · 04/03/2011 21:51

I get waxed. It doesn't hurt.

tidyminge · 04/03/2011 21:56

Can you not guess donnie I think its pretty obvious :)
figgy & panzee the only thing I have waxed is my eyebrows and tash Grin am a big wimp is it really not that bad?
norma if yoiur shaving daily does that stop the itching when it starts to regrow (think I have just answered my own question there)

HopingForAZoo · 05/03/2011 01:55

The more you wax, the easier it gets. HTH

MrsMc82 · 05/03/2011 20:20

Panzee waxing really does bloody well hurt!!!!

I do get waxed but am quite new to it, only had 3 so far and i am assured that it does get better but not yet!!!!

However I do think its totally worth it, DH thinks it looks great (sorry TMI!!) And it so much less labour intensive that sorting it myself :o :o

NettoSuperstar · 05/03/2011 20:22

Epilator.
Same result as waxing, but much cheaper.
I'm not a fan of hair on my nethers, so I remove it all.

LakeFlyPie · 05/03/2011 20:27

Bloody hell Netto, you epilate the whole lot Shock

That's brought tears to my eyes just reading it - ouch

usualsuspect · 05/03/2011 20:28

I plait mine

Tigerbomb · 05/03/2011 20:30

I use my husbands hair clippers (but don't tell him) - couple of minutes is all it takes Grin

tidyminge · 05/03/2011 21:54

netto epilate, really ouch I bought an epilator last year and just about managed to tolerate my lower legs.

tiger see I have a shaver atachment on my epilator but it makes it kind of spikey Blush

MrsMc82 · 05/03/2011 21:58

:o :o at usualsuspect ...used to need plait mine too till about 4 months ago!!

Jewelsandgems · 05/03/2011 22:12

I shave all mine off every day in the shower. Use the venus with the shower gel bits, use with a rich shower creme and afterwards exfoliate. Totally smooth :) If i left mine to grow I dont think id be enjoying half as much oral sex! Wink Grin

desperatelyseekingsnoozes · 05/03/2011 22:14

I get mine threaded at the beauty counter in Debenhams. You do need to be quite supple though

TaudrieTattoo · 05/03/2011 22:17

I tuck mine in my socks.

MooMinCow · 05/03/2011 22:28

I have one of those bikini trimmers. like a mans beard trimmer but slimmer and pink of course! keep it all trimmed then bikini wax round the edges. (waxing hurts less too if hairs a bit shorter IMO)

HalfTermHero · 05/03/2011 22:37

Trim with a scissors usually but if I fancy spoiling dh to shaven haven I just tame my minge in the shower with a razor. The grow back bit does not bother me (or him!).

Havingkittens · 05/03/2011 23:15

Yeah, see, all of the above are a problem for me. Shaving grows back really painful after about an hour and is painful until it's reached a good few millimetres. Waxing & epilating - massively painful ingrown hairs. Nair leaves it still stubbly as well as the chemical burns which is a very bad look and not terribly conducive to any sort of sex. I use OH's beard trimmer and then go over it with the foil bit of my bikini shaver but that's now growing back quite painful too. I've had laser and actually have 4 sessions left on my groupon offer but that hurts like fuck too, although is about the most effective thing so far. I wouldn't mind but I look like I'm wearing mohair leiderhosen if I leave it unattended.
